Luxor: Pharaoh’s Challenge is a puzzle-adventure game set in a mythic version of ancient Egypt where the forces of order and chaos are at stake. The story unfolds through text sequences between levels (more fully presented on other platforms, but still present in the DS version’s narrative structure). Within the game’s lore, an Egyptian songstress has entered the afterlife and awaits judgment in the Hall of Two Truths. As her heart is about to be weighed against the Feather of Ma’at—the standard of truth and justice—the god Thoth intervenes and tells her the tale of a courageous hero whose deeds brought order back to the world.
