Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi’s Journey is a role-playing game released for the Game Boy Color in 2001 (North America). Developed by TOSE and published by Enix, the game is one of two versions of the second entry in the Dragon Warrior Monsters series.
Players control Cobi, a young monster tamer who sets out on a quest to save the Great Tree after it is mysteriously destroyed. Along the way, players explore multiple magical worlds, recruit and breed a wide variety of monsters, and build powerful teams to battle opponents in turn-based combat. Monster breeding plays a central role, allowing players to combine creatures to create stronger offspring with inherited skills and abilities.
With its expansive monster roster, addictive breeding system, and link cable features that allow trading and battling with the companion version, Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi’s Journey remains a standout monster-collecting RPG on the Game Boy Color.
