In Metal Storm for the Nintendo Entertainment System, you pilot a powerful combat mech known as the M-308 Gunner in a desperate attempt to save Earth from destruction. The story takes place in a futuristic setting where a rogue supercomputer and its automated forces have seized control of a space based defense network and turned it against humanity.
To prevent the annihilation of the planet, you are sent to infiltrate the orbital battle station and eliminate the hostile machines from within. Armed with advanced weaponry and a unique gravity shifting ability, the mech can reverse gravitational pull, allowing you to walk on ceilings and navigate complex mechanical environments.
As you fight through heavily fortified sectors and confront massive robotic bosses, the stakes continue to rise. Through precision, strategy, and mastery of the gravity mechanic, you must shut down the supercomputer and stop the impending catastrophe before Earth is lost forever.
