Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is the ambitious sequel to the original Legend of Zelda, blending action, role-playing progression, and side-scrolling combat into a unique experience on the NES.
The story follows the hero Link as he embarks on a quest to awaken Princess Princess Zelda from an ancient sleeping spell. Unlike its top-down predecessor, the game features an overworld map for exploration, but transitions into side-scrolling action sequences in towns, dungeons, and combat areas.
